The City is set in a dystopian future where an unnamed megacity becomes the world’s new economic mecca. With unspoken wars, floods of refugees of all nations migrate to the City, causing giant gaps in wealth and class, and an influx of power where the Government itself is not able to properly enforce the law. Criminal organizations form in pockets and continue to grow, allowing violence to become a major mean for power. The City consists of colossal skyscrapers, modern and ancient architecture, and massive concrete ruins and ruble. Due to its melting pot nature and free-for-all state, neighbourhood architecture change drastically based on its ethnic majority. Select regions of the City are governed by its major criminal organization, while it is believed that the one that controls the Inner-City, rules them all.
Our story follows decades after an ex-militia group ‘The Legion’ heroically unifies and centralizes the violence and powers of the City. An era of peace has been established but now the people of the City start to question whether ‘The Legion’ have ‘too much’ power.
Inspirations from the concept board include scenes from Akira, Judge Dredd, Gotham City, 80’s New York City, etc.
